Chamber of Commerce Board Meeting

February 10th, 2004

Attendees:

Harvey Allen, Veronica Maglione, John Corcacas, Anna Maria Abrams, Anna Archambault, Bill Bowling, Eric Buehler, Tom Cilmi, Nancy Cochran, Bruce Garben, John Corcacas, Liz Mayott, Georgeanna Von Hassel.

Absent: Lori Zegel, sick, June Garben, sick.

Installation Dinner

The Board discussed the great success of the installation Dinner and the various ways to improve the event for next year.

Festival Committee

This year we are ahead of the game. The permit papers have been submitted. We have secured Clearview. The churches have been notified of this event. This evening there will be a preliminary meeting for the festival. The "new guys" are putting together all the paperwork. Georgeanna will be Chairman for Unique, Antique Cars and Bikes. The Chamber would like to place an ad in the local newspaper seeking out car people with interest in such subject.
Nancy Cochran will be Chairman for Advertising
Suggestion for advertising News 12, Radio stations
Liz Mayott will contact Linda Ho at Fleet Bank for the T-shirts.

Sponsorship is an important issue. The Chamber suggests enticing new sponsorship by better advertising. Possibly a radio station, BLI. B103, etc.

The benefits for sponsorship are free advertising on the web site, advertising on the banners that get hung across the street and advertising in all the printed media that is produced to promote the event, please contact the chamber if you are interested in sponsoring this years event. A committee will be needed for this task.

Raffles will continue this year. A committee will also be needed for this task.

The web site

This year all street festival information will all be listed on the web. A motion to accept "pay per click" was accepted by Georgeanna Von Hassel and Anna Maria Abrams.

Membership

It's a New Year and its membership drive time. The Chamber suggested that with all new memberships a journal would be included.
